The Story

Amanda became a Christian in 1994 and felt prompted by God to go to the mission field during her years at university. Her response was, “God I love you but I will NEVER become a missionary and I will NEVER leave Northern Ireland.”

God had other plans!

In 2009 she immigrated to Australia and after some life changing events in 2014 she felt God calling her to serve Him on the mission field, using her qualifications as a Chartered Accountant as a finance officer in Arnhem Land.

Amanda is currently completing her graduate diploma of divinity with Maylon College. She is excited about becoming part of the Yolngu community where her love for God and her life experience can reach out to others and show God’s amazing love and promise never to leave us or forsake us.

Her biggest fear is Arnhem Land running out of chocolate!

For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11
