Jonathan and Angela met and married in Ballarat, with a dream of working for MAF in Arnhem Land in the north of Australia.
Twelve years later, in 2005, they moved their five children to fulfil that call of God on their lives, serving with MAF for six years in various roles and locations within Arnhem Land.
In 2011 the call came to move to East Timor, serving with MAF, in what was then the newest nation in the world.
Here, Jonathan serves as Program Manager and pilot. Angela home schools their children; Jordan , Mitchell, Cooper, Emily and Joshua.
East Timor, despite their oil revenue wealth, is one of the poorest nations in Asia. The road infrastructure is poor and travel is long and difficult.
MAF has been operating in partnership with the Ministry of Health, to provide an aerial medevac service and also works with many NGOs and development agencies to improve the health and development of the Timorese people. They value the ministry opportunity of delivering relief and development to the remote people of Timor Leste in Jesus’ name.
‘Go out through the gates! Prepare the highway for my people to return! Smooth out the road; pull out the boulders; raise a flag for the nations to see.’
