Tom and Gemma have been called to work in Papua New Guinea with Mission Aviation Fellowship. Tom has been in Aviation Engineering since 1978. Gemma currently home schools three of their four children and has a passion for connecting with people of all ages. Daniel is 16 and is interested in IT and is enrolled in vocational training in Aviation Line Maintenance, Laura is 12 and reads books faster than anyone we know, Ellie is 4 and loves life, and Mathew is almost 2 and growing faster than a corn stalk in the spring!
Tom’s call to mission work was born out of his strong desire to be obedient to God’s will and partner in this journey with his wife Gemma and their children. Gemma has had a desire to be more involved in missions since she was a teen. Working in missions is still new to our family and we are excited to continue to be used by God in Tom’s career and through their family life, as they are obedient to God’s direction in their lives.
The family has been living in Mt Hagen, PNG for the last 2 years and will continue in ministry there for 2 more years. In this time Tom will be the Engineering Services Manager at Kagamuga Airport, where he will provide much needed technical support on the aircraft used by MAF. Gemma and the children will be supporting Tom in this role and building relationships within the local community.
Please keep the Meeks family in your prayers as they seek to honour God in all they do.
Delight thyself in the LORD.
